Credit for Previous Education and Training
If you are applying for credit in any of the categories described
below, you must complete a Credit for Previous Education, Training, Work
Experience (Experiential Learning), or CLEP form and submit official
transcripts, course descriptions, and other supporting documentation
prior to the first day of the course as required on the form.
Although all students are encouraged to apply for credit, you must
complete the request form if you will be using veterans’ benefits to
attend the University. The University will grant appropriate credit,
shorten the duration of the course proportionately, and notify you and
VA accordingly.
Transfer of Credit Between Kaplan Higher
Education Institutions
Course credits may be transferred between Kaplan Higher Education
institutions upon acceptance to the receiving Kaplan Higher Education
institution. The transfer of credit award will be based on:
- courses that have a grade of "C" or better;
- course descriptions, objectives, or outcomes;
- core/major courses that apply to the program;
- and conversions from quarter to semester credit systems, or vice
versa, that follow common practices for academic credit conversions.
Credit cannot be transferred until an official transcript is
submitted to the Kaplan Higher Education institution evaluating the
transfer credit.
If you are transferring from a Kaplan Higher Education institution
you must complete a minimum of 25 percent of the course credits at the
Kaplan Higher Education institution awarding the graduation credential.
